Writing from Experience. Leading with Intention.

I didn’t begin writing to build a platform.

I began writing to make sense of leadership, responsibility, faith, failure, and growth—both personally and professionally.

My work as an author is shaped by more than 15 years of executive leadership experience across business, nonprofit, association, education, and community sectors, including service as a President & CEO of a Chamber of Commerce. It is also shaped by seasons of rebuilding, reflection, fatherhood, coaching, faith, and the quiet moments where clarity is earned rather than assumed.

As a leader, I’ve sat in boardrooms, led teams under pressure, navigated burnout and disengagement, and wrestled with the tension between results and people. As a coach, father, and man of faith, I’ve learned that sustainable success—at work and in life—requires more than effort. It requires focus, discipline, and alignment with what truly matters.

My books reflect these two worlds.

They are not written to impress.
They are written to serve—leaders, individuals, and anyone navigating complexity, responsibility, or transition.

How the Books Connect

These books are not a series.
They are not sequential.
They are written for different seasons.

Momentum is the inner rebuild.
Focus on What’s Important Now is the outer application.

Momentum explains who I became.
Focus on What's Important Now explains how I lead.

Together, they reflect a simple truth I’ve learned over time:

You cannot lead others well externally if you have not done the work to rebuild internally.

beyond the books

My writing is part of a larger conversation that continues through speaking and podcasting.

On the Simply Dadvice Podcast, I explore fatherhood, balance, growth, and the lessons learned in everyday life.

On the upcoming The Business Wrap Podcast, I sit down with business owners, leaders, and influencers to unpack the experiences, mistakes, and insights that shape meaningful success.

Across books, stages, and conversations, my work centers on the same question:

What’s Important Now—and how do we live and lead accordingly?
